1. Who was Adolph Schicklgruber? Give his short biography.
Adolf Hitler (Adolph Schicklgruber) was born on 20 April in 1889. Hitler was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party, commonly known as the Nazi Party. He was the totalitarian leader of Germany from 1933 to 1945. On 30 April 1945 Hitler committed suicide, shooting himself.


2. Why is John Stith Pemberton's name famous? Illustrate.
John Stith Pemberton was a Confederate veteran and an American druggist, and was the inventor of Coca-Cola, which in his lifetime was used only for medical purposes.


3. What was the name of the famous Italian astronomer, physicist and philosopher, who was born on the 15 February 1564? Give a short overview of his achievements.
Galileo Galilei was the famous Italian astronomer, physicist and philosopher, who constructed a telescope and made many astronomical discoveries. In 1614, Galileo was accused of heresy for his support of the Copernican theory that the sun was at the centre of the solar system.


4. Provide interesting facts about William Henry Gates III. Why is he world-famous?
William Henry "Bill" Gates III is an American business magnate and chairman of Microsoft, the software company he founded with Paul Allen. He is consistently ranked among the world's wealthiest people. According to Forbes list of the World's Wealthiest People Bill has got $46.6 billion. Gates married Melinda French on January 1, 1994. They have three children.


5. What was the name of the Scottish mathematician and engineer whose improvements to the steam engine were a key stage in the Industrial Revolution? Illustrate his innovation.
James Watt (19 January 1736 – 25 August 1819) was a Scottish inventor and mechanical engineer, whose improvements to the Newcomen’s steam engine were fundamental to the changes brought by the Industrial Revolution in both the Kingdom of Great Britain and the world.


6. Give a short biography of Andrew Warhola. What was/is he famous for? Illustrations.
Andrew Warhola more commonly known as Andy Warhol, was an American painter, printmaker, and filmmaker who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. Pop art is an art movement of the twentieth century. Characterized by themes and techniques drawn from popular mass culture, such as advertising and comic books.


7. What are the most important facts about the life of Norma Jeane Mortenson ? Illustrate.
Marilyn Monroe (June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962), born as Norma Jeane Mortenson, was an American actress, singer, and model.
Facts:
  1. There are over 600 books written about her.
  2. Her first modeling job paid only five dollars.
  3. The first time she signed an autograph as Marilyn Monroe, she had to ask how to spell it. She didn't know where to put the "i" in "Marilyn".
  4. Named 2nd Greatest Movie Star of all time by Premier Magazine

8. Who was the Roman emperor, who was murdered by senators 44 B.C? Why did this happen?
The assassination of Gaius Julius Caesar was one of the climactic events of the late Roman Republic. The conspirators in his murder came from all sides and factions of the Roman Senate, and had different motives for their actions. The senators were all however bound by one goal, and that was to rid Rome of Caesar’s dictatorship. Julius Caesar was assassinated on the 15th of March 44BC in the Forum Magnum in Rome. He was assassinated by a group of approximately sixty members of the Roman Senate.

Napoleon Bonaparte was born on 15 August in 1769 in Corsica. Napoleon was a military and political leader of France and Emperor of the French as Napoleon I, whose actions shaped European politics in the early 19th century.


10. What was the maiden name of the Princess of Wales, who was killed in the car accident in France? Illustate her short biography.
Diana, Princess of Wales (1 July 1961 – 31 August 1997) was the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales. On 31 August 1997, Diana died having sustained fatal injuries in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris eluding the paparazzi. Their black 1994 Mercedes-Benz S280 crashed into the thirteenth pillar of the tunnel.
